Salary Information
 
As I noted on the front page we obtained salary information from a report done by the Affiliates. www.affiliates.com. If you want your own report please visit their site.

For New York the salary information for 2003 is reported as follows:

(Please note the information is rounded to the nearest thousand)

Senior Associates (4-9+ years)
Large Firm ranges from 176,000-259,000
Mid sized ranges from 122,000-203,000
Small ranges from 78,000-167,000

Mid-Level Associates (1-3 years)
Large 141,000-185,000
Mid sized 93,000-142,000
Small 64,000-113,000

First Year Associates
Large 126,000-165,000
Mid sized 86,000-126,000
Small 60,000-96,000

(Note the small firm range is a combination of two ranges, what the survey calls small firm and small/mid)

A Large firm as defined for the survey is 75+ attorneys
Midsized is 35-75
Small is 1-34

Wow! I figured this out at age 11, without looking at a single piece of data. D'uh!

I hope all you overpaid NY associates hire drivers with your boomingyearbonii and stay off the roads. :(:mad::(:mad:
