Changes in management at LawTalkers

I have decided, after over a year of managing LawTalkers, that it is time for me to step down as head Admin. I have asked Replaced Texan, who has had considerable experience with online communities, to take over as the new head. She has accepted and will officially take over in mid May.

I have already discussed this with the other Admins and the mods. They all feel, without reservation, that RT is the best choice. If you have any concerns however, you may feel free to PM me. I will keep your name private, though I will, if I feel it is necessary, address any concerns with RT or the other Admins.

I will remain in charge until mid May, at which time I will make provision to hand over all funds and properties (mainly that would be domain names) that I have for the sites. I will remain around as long as necessary to assist RT in this transition.

As far as whether I will remain after that, I am uncertain. I am sure, at the least, I will pop in now and again to say hi.

I thank you all for your support over the past year or so. It has been quite an experience, and my pleasure to have worked with everyone who has been involved in creating this community.

I hope that you will give RT the support that you have given me.

Thank you.

Yes, you can join NWN, Cornholio, CHef and SockfortheMan in the land of retired Admins who cashed out.

Oh, there are better places to head for -- given the timing of the succession, sounds like you could head to Mass. and get married, for example, once your administration is up.

Sounds like a plan. I'll ask my gf right away.

Who wants to come to my wedding?

I'd come. And I wouldn't criticize you if you chose not to have an open bar. But you'd best display good taste in band or DJ selection.
