Solo needs a CPA????

Anyone have a recommendation for a CPA that can help a new solo set up shop.

I've been winging it for a few months and I dread the end of the year.

What do you other solos do?

Thanks

If you are just getting your firm established, visit a CPA who can help you figure out all the ins and outs of Texas and federal tax law. Assuming from your name that you are from Houston, I highly recommend Margolis, Phipps & Wright. I have referred Houston-based clients there and they are top-notch.

You can check out the IRS website for information about small-business taxes and deductions, use quickbooks pro, and buy turbotax, but it might be less expensive to consult with a CPA who can set everything up for you.
