You can't complain about Darko when you're on the verge of a championship.

One of the playoff loses at home, when Pistons couldn't score, black guy next to me starts saying to a white guy behind me, "its you guys wanting Darko that cost us this game." "We" had never heard of the guy, and I don't think Anthony would have helped the Pistons much anyway. Being free to be the leading scorer in Denver is not the same as fitting into the Pistons and helping. But the pick is hard to understand.
The only thing that helps me is I thought Dumars was crazy when he traded Stackhouse and fired Carlisle, and it turns out he was right. Dumars picked Darko, and I'm hoping someday it'll make sense. I don't think Dumars would screw up such a good pick for a racial reason. Consider when he picked up Rashid he traded our no. 2 shooting guard (white) and reduced Okur from starting to often getting a DNP. No white guys get on the court. Dumars did that, and I don't think he would have hacked a 2nd pick to make some token show.
