Guest-appearing at TPM, Spencer Ackerman has a couple posts up (

here) about this Iraqi lieutenant colonel who reportedly was a member of Al Qaeda. While the story hasn't fully played out yet, it seems pretty clear that the AQ member isn't the officer. "The individual identified as a Fedayeen lieutenant colonel is Hikmat Shakir Ahmad, while the individual identified as present for the Kuala Lumpur meeting is Ahmad Hikmat Shakir Azzawi." But folks are still looking for a link to Iraqi intelligence.
