Maybe I'm just confused. He said the other guy failed to perform to the girls' expectations. He said he buddy was UP to the challenge. Not that he was terribly excited that he was going to be involved in the 3 or 4 way or whatever it is. UP to the challenge sounded like he had "personal" knowledge IYKWIM.
