Lionel Richie saw Sheila E's brother's kid when she came to a show that the brother was in the back up band or what not. Lionel and his wife thought Nicole, the child was so cute they asked to adopt her, and obviously did.
The thing I find weird, so someone comes up to you and says "your child is so cute can I adopt him or her?" and you say "yes, sure!" that's weird.
