Looks like Florida has finally solved the felon list problem, by getting rid of the list. It appears as though only 0.1% of the names on the most recent attempt at a felon list were Hispanic, in a state where 20% of the population is of Hispanic origin.

This may seem innocuous at first, but Hispanic voters in Florida tend to lean Republican; I read something recently that said 80% of Cuban-Americans voted for Bush in 2000.

Hank, it's "administrative errors" like this (after there was already one major screwup with this list) and the State Department terrorist report that make those of us on the other side of the fence wonder, against our own better instincts, about how coincidental it is that GWB's Nat Guard records disappeared. I realize it seems like conspiracy theory to you, but these kind of mistakes are out of character for you Repubs. It's the Dems who are supposed to be the ivory tower PhD types, the guys that may be book smart and can engage in a scintillating discussion of Max Weber but can't successfully shop for a barbecue without making three trips to Safeway because the first two times they forgot to buy charcoal. You Repubs are supposed to be the businessmen, the administrators, the solid guys that get things done right. Making an accurate list of felons or terror attacks should right up your alley. And yet again we hear "Ooops, we made a mistake again, and in our own favor too....what are the odds?"

But on the plus side for the repubs, they still have the unrecountable electronic voting machines in Florida. They're not made by GOP subsidiary Diebold, but maybe that is a good thing after all these other gaffes lately.
