But, apparently, dtb has outdone by basketball coach in high school, who came up to me before practice and, observing I was wearing boxers not briefs, said something like "Burger, looks like you're wearing boxers. Know what a jock strap is? Just trying to be helpful, because I wouldn't want to see you hurt yourself."
ETA: Unfortunately I didn't have Hank to tell him that I was on the hoops fashion cutting edge at the time. If only I'd hung my shorts down on my ass a bit more it would have been obvious.
