This is a sign that Rove truly has no respect for the idiot masses he's manipulating. (Hi, Hank!) Anyone who's spent even five minutes in the South knows that there are two kinds of Southerners --- (1) those who are proud of the South and think the wrong side won the War Between the States because slavery was doomed anyway, and (2) those who are proud of the South and think the wrong side won the War Between the States, period. Telling Southerners that Edwards is in group (1) will lose Rove some traction in the swing states, who are proud that there are intellectual Southerners who bleed for the Confederacy but think that slavery sucked balls, and that black people deserve some fucking respect for their "heritage," too.
Rove can have the others. He's earned their vote, FWIW.
