I see where you're going, but I disagree. I think many men are "grossed out" by gay men. Part of it is an irrational fear that they may catch a disease or even worse, their "gayness." And I think that is a product of viewing men who are gay as not-masculine ("feminine" didn't work in this context). TO would most likely back away from another gay man (outside of jail and who didn't look like Ray Lewis), not
only because of the potential fear of being raped, but because he is grossed out by it. I think this is what SD meant.
