B) Mark Kirk has most of the Northern suburbs. He's a moderate Republican. There hasn't been a Democrat on the North Shore as long as I've been voting. The rest of the Northern Burbs are covered by Phil Crane, a guy who makes Grover Norquist look liberal.
Deerfield is a Republican stronghold as well. The one town that I would agree has a liberal bias is Evanston.

I recognize both names as R's. Guess maybe I never associated Phil Crane with the North Shore. Nevertheless, the public perception is out there. Google "North Shore liberal" and you get 43 hits. "North Shore conservative" gets 1. Weird that, too. It seems like every person I've met from that area (law school, undergrad) is a democrat or otherwise liberal.
Does Kenilworth let dead people vote or something?
