So...
A pro-bono client of mine on a transaction I am no longer able to work on calls to ask me for a date of some document (he should have a copy of) and expresses how pissed off he was at the other side for dragging the closing out well past the agreed-upon date.
I say, "Yeah, you know, some of the things counsel for the other side has tried to pull have crossed the line and basically amount to malpractice, but it looks like you guys are going to get paid, finally."
He says, "Yep. But I just hate what these jew-motherfuckers did to us on this." He was, of course, on speaker.
Disgusting. I paused, not believing what I just heard and he said, "Excuse my French, you may be part Jewish for all I know." I told him it didn't matter whether I was or not, but I didn't think what he said was cool."
He quickly apologized (kinda) and hung up.
People fucking suck.
The partner I was helping on this who is working for free is jewish. Where do you get the fucking nerve? How often does this happen to people on this board? I'd like to know.
