There's not a decent cowboy bar, but there is a great BBQ joint in China Town that is run by actual Texans. The food is unbelievable. You may know the place, it has pictures of some of the congressman that have visited (J.C. Watts, Kay Bailey Hutchison, etc.). A lot of SEC people go there for lunch.

Texas Q BBQ. Good stuff, but too crowded of late. Not for vegetarians, though.
