I note that it is October 21 and the heat index in Houston, Texas is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This is wrong and against nature. At the most, we should be in the high 70s, low 80s at this point. Our air conditioning should be a supplement, not a necessity. We should be contemplating our sweater drawers and our cool weather closets. Our nipples should be getting hard when we walk outside at night, because we were ill prepared for it to be quite that chilly. My only conclusion is that God wants the (also Yankee) Red Sox to suffer in the heat so they will be easier to beat.
