Where do you get the idea that in order to be opposed to something, one must also affirmatively work against it? If everyone did that, society would grind to a halt. We'd all be tilting at windmills while weeds overtook the sidewalks.

No, he shouldn't do anything about it. As he said, the states should, if they so choose. Isn't that exactly what you want? How's anyone supposed to keep you happy? You're worse than me. You're complaining about the style of the platter on which they're bring you the gold.
