So if I am sitting with my lawyer in a crowded Wendy's at lunch time, anything I tell her is privileged even though all those people can hear it? Sweet. Why do the lawyers always tell their clients to keep their mouths shut when talking to the police, then? I mean, as long as I turn to the lawyer and say "Should I tell them that I did murder that person and that plotting it out was really fun?" it's not like anyone could use that statement against me.
