If you like fighting

That said, the second movie has the story. Questions answered, plot filled in and the best fight ever between two blondes.

I put off seeing vol. 1 until vol. 2 was out, then saw them both on consecutive days. Highly recommend.

Wasn't it Kill Bill vol. 1. that had the (boom) anime? That chapter was incredible. So was the fight with the Japanese hottie.

I think QT believes is that what really matters in film is having as many brilliant moments, whether it's a line of dialogue or a monologue (the Like a Virgin speech and the Tim Roth bathroom/drug story in Reservoir Dogs), or a cool look of a shot or scene (John Travolta and Uma dancing in a 50s diner), or a great prop or costume (the suits in Reservoir Dogs, the Pussy Wagon, the Gimp). He gives you shit that you remember for years and years and years after.

Using this as the criteria, Kill Bill doesn't really measure up to Reservoir Dogs or Pupl Fiction. I liked the assassins having snake names. I loved the anime. I thought the kung-fu-master section was great. I remember the "Woo Hoo" song by the 5 6 7 8s during the fight scene with the Crazy 88s. The manner in which the final fight is decided is very very cool. But I don't think it quite lives up to the standard. Cooler and many times better than Jackie Brown though.
