Don't pull that "women aren't pieces of property" bullshit. That has nothing to do with it. The issue is, how much do you value the friendship? If you don't care enough about your friend's feelings to avoid fucking someone he was with for two years, two months after they broke up, then whatever happens to that friendship is on you. The only horrible motives here are self-interest to the detriment of someone they both cared about.
