In fairness to you, that's an extremely lame excuse. Hot, healthy chicks can do athletic stuff. Anorexic chicks, who are no longer hot, aren't exactly in fighting form.
I'll defer to coltrane on this, but I suspect you're better off slimming down for athetlic purposes by training rather than binging and purging.

She looks skinny, but not anorexic like Nicole Ritchie. She looks much skinnier than before - that is why she looks so skinny. I am about as skinny as she is, and I eat like a pig but work out all the time. She could just be working out. I agree - the look doesn't suit her, and the cigarette doesn't suggest that she is a workout fiend, but you never know.
And generally bulimics aren't skinny, so binging and purging doesn't get you there.
