I think some people are drinking water constantly so they don't just stuff their faces with junk food instead. Or maybe they never got over the breastfeeding-as-security thing and sucking water from a bottle is the closest substitute.
Me, I'd rather have a glass of sangria to quench my thirst on a hot day, but quite unjustly I am apparently not supposed to do that at work.
