Some might argue that the reason man has evolved fairly quickly into a "smart" species was because they did cook their food. When was the last time you saw a fish using a hibachi and writing poetry? It's just logic.
eta: P.S. I wouldn't want to be in a room with all those Raw Foods devotees. They might argue that their intestinal gases are less foul, but if you've ever been around an elephants, you know that the volume more than makes up for the deadliness. I'm just saying.
