Use the TSA approved locks - they don't have to cut them to open the bag for search, and it reduces the chance your bag will pop open like a pandora's box of delicates. I also like the mesh packing cubes, it keeps things neater and they don't seem to rifle through those as much, so there's less worry about small things disappearing.
