There are no teeny tornadoes, that I know of. Plus tornadoes are accompanied by hail and really damaging thunderstorms, and it gets weirdly dark before the tornado. I have lived in tornado land (for more than 10 years total), and it never didn't scare me (though it was kind of exciting too) -- the air pressure is weird, the whole world is weird with a tornado. Plus, with tornadoes, you get so much forewarning nowadays that you have the horrible anticipation time.
A big earthquake would, I think, be much scarier than a tornado, but a little one is fun. I was on the phone the whole time.
