The only time I've heard it used in its truly proper context was when a friend of mine performed cunnilingus on woman whom the entire party knew had only an hour or so before had sex with another man. Sloppy seconds only exist where one of the parties has not showered after the first course.
To fuck someone shortly after they've broken up with another is "enjoying leftovers.'
