Which brings up a point. My friend told me last night that this guy that she went on a date with (he's 24) was shocked when she told him her age (30) and now she thinks he's no longer interested - notwithstanding that I was there when they met and they seemed to really like each other and she said that the date went really well until he found out her age. I've never found a guy to be spooked by an older woman, especially before any sex was had, so I was a little surprised. Six years does not seem like too much.

He's just doing the math in his head, calculating how much more time she has before she hits the wall looks-wise and whether or not he's getting the right odds on his potential time investment.
