BUT, thank God for the Pause and Fast Forward buttons, because the magnificent creatures in the orgy scene (and the scene at the beginning where the chick overdoses) were worth the boredom of the rest of the flick. Kubrick picked the most perfect female forms I have ever seen. Simply astounding. Don't believe me, google image eyes wides hut until you find one. I found that to be the most boring orgy scene I've ever watched. Well, it might have been the only orgy scene I've ever watched, now that I think about it. But one would expect an orgy scene to be less boring than that one.
RE: Tom Cruise, I've never liked his acting from the
Top Gun With Cars, Top Gun With Cocktails, Top Gun With Pool days, though I never begrudged him his personal life until this recent Scientology crap. And I didn't see
Magnolia, which is probably the only one of his movies in the past 10 years that looked interesting to me. I've assumed that he is having some sort of breakdown and that he might disappear for a few months once the WotW press junket is over, but maybe it really is all some staged platform for getting Scientology out to the masses.
