Do that to me and your bill will go unpaid (and I'm pretty damn easy to work with). As long as you go through the motions and allocate time to each task, it's highly unlikely that I'll challenge your bill, and I think you'll find that's true for most clients. If you are smart enough to pass the bar, you should be smart enough to make up shit on your bills so they look legitimate. And don't be afraid to look back at last month's bill so you aren't billing for the same shit over and over again. That one will get you hammered.
The only reason I audit bills and occassionally ask for a (minor) adjustment is because that is one of the things I'm evaluated on.
