I looked up how Bryce did at his Junior Nationals. If anyone wants the spoiler, IM me.
That letter that football dad wrote to Lloyd Carr? That guy's in a nutter-league of his own.

I watch it. The football dad is nuts (for those non-watchers, he delivers pizzas for a living because having a normal job - I think he was in marketing or something - was interfering with his ability to watch his
8-year-old son train to be a professional football player; he has a private coach for the kid, who goes to practice and then spends his entire weekend being run ragged by a semi-pro player), and the kid will most likely burn out or be injured before he gets out of high school.
The horse mom is just a horrible mother. The way she talks to her kids? Get out. Letting the daughter who is working 3 jobs to help pay for her horse find out that it is for sale after the fact? Fuck off.
Skating mom? I don't know where to start. Basket case. I wonder when her son is going to figure out that he is gay. Or if he already knows and he is just in denial.
Cheerleading mom? Part of the reason I was so anxious to get out of Texas. Also running a serious risk of burning her kid out.
Basketball coach/mom? Actually seems most normal, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to be her daughter. Keeping a tight leash so that her daughter doesn't make the mistakes she made is likely to backfire, but hard to blame her for wanting better for the girl.
Overall, entertaining show - probably better than Showdog Moms and Dads and less entertaining than Showbiz Moms and Dads. I give it a B.
I caught a bit of the Hilton show last night on Bravo. Meh. Though they did seem to get a solid group of dysfunctional rejects for contestants. It didn't make my Tivo list. What's the prize for that one? Becoming Mrs Hilton's personal assistant for a year or something?
I also watched Megastructures on National Geographic about how that island airport they built in Japan is sinking. Fast. Apparently in the first 5 years it was open, it sunk 26 feet. That was what they projected for more like 40 years when they built it. Oops. Megastructures might just make my Tivo list. I need to watch a couple more episodes before I decide.
