My neighborhood's parade was much different. Best part: free ice cream from Amy's Ice Cream (close runner-up: the bunny driving the tank. Tank-driving bunnies are presumptively funny). Worst part: Walking the crowded sidewalk around the elementary school where the parade ended, gf noticed a circle drawn on the sidewalk, and there was a large crack in the sidewalk running through the circle. The circle was labeled "Uranus." Gf said, "That is totally random. Why would they put that there? Does Uranus have a big crack?" That may be our last Allendale Fourth of July Parade.
