They can be ripped, it is just a PITA. BMG has been using that on their big-sellers for a while now. I think that the Velvet Revolver CD was the first instance that we (paigow!) found of that. Complaints have been sent to BMG, but to no avail. Mr Man can provide details (I know not of this stuff) (nor do I want to).

Just don't ask Mr Man about the drive that stores all of our iTunes crashing and our backup file ending after the bands starting with "G". He's a bit touchy about that still.
