Not unless there is a danger of you seeing this guy frequently. I don't remember if you said you got stopped near work or near home. But encouraging someone you have no interest in makes no sense if there is a danger of running into him again.

No. Most guys are deathly afraid to talk to
hot girls. What happened to you happens to good looking girls only when the person finds out that the girl has a boyfriend. Then they play "Nice Guy" and try to be your friend. If you accept, they know your relationship is either bullshit or on the brink of being over.
