In anticipation of the remake, the original Bad News Bears was available on dvd. I think this is the first time I've seen the movie as an adult, and I have a newfound appreciation.

Whoa. I remember seeing that movie sometime in the Mesozoic Era. Also, I went to a dinner party at the house of a friend's parents, and the parents had some friends of theirs over; one of whom was the director of the Bad News Bears (the original one). I remember thinking how pathetic it was that he was still clinging to that past glory. Maybe I'll rethink my silent belittling of him.
