That's an interesting assortment. Bad News Bears - what year is that from? That is ages old. Speaking of which, Tony Hawk just keeps going on and on and on. I am pretty sure he was in magazines already by the time I was somewhere in high school.

Tony Hawk was around back when I retired from skating the first time - back when skateboarding was an age-appropriate activity for me. He made a good deal of money during the late 80s/early 90s skate boom. Then he went bankrupt and lost everything during the bust. However, he kept skating, and it was kind of nice to see him cashing in when I started skating again a few years ago.
I've since retired from skating again, as my ankles seem especially prone to injury and slow to recover. I was never able to come up with a good explanation when people saw me limping around in air casts and asked me how I hurt myself. The truth provoked funny looks coupled with subtle admonishment. Lucky for Tony he didn't go to law school in his lean years.
