Sorry - I think 3 of my picks are Canadian, and I never realized I was such a fan of Canadian music until this poll. In Canada radio stations have Canadian content ("Cancon") requirements - so a certain percentage of what the radio plays has to be Canadian. So I grew up listening to Canadian music and I suppose it has stuck.
Amusing anecdote: Bryan Adams is not considered Cancon (because not only do you have to be Canadian, you have to have Canadians in your band or production company or something) and he was really pissed about it. You suck, Bryan Adams.
