1. I don't think so. Dumbledore isn't coming back as Gandalf the White. Harry's got the scooby gang to help him, but he is the HERO, and Dumbledore would overshadow that in the final battle. Also, I don't think JKR would spend so much freakin time telling us about the wailing phoenix, etc. if it was all just some great elaborate ruse.

2. With all the negative history that JKR has written into the first 6 books, I don't see how Snape comes out as a "good guy." I could see him ultimately revealing his agreement with Dumbledore/doube-secret agent status, etc. part to HP and/or others in getting in with the Death Eaters to spy on them, but at the end of the day, Snape is just not a good person. I think he is written as a very selfish, hateful person who, after weighing the sides of the conflict, decided that Dumbledore's side was going to ultimately prevail, thus he decided to throw his lot in with them, no matter how distasteful it might be for him to have to associate in any way with HP.
