Where the Streets Have No Name is a great classic rock song. But Without or Without You is nothing more than melodrama over a slow monotonous bassline. We can argue the merits, and I think they're all decent songs. But no matter how good, a song simply cannot be listened to 5 million times without becoming stale and monotonous.
