When I lived in California, a friend of mine came out for a weekend from the East Coast to see if she wanted to move there. She didn't have a job or housing or anything, and she stayed with me for a weekend to scope the area out. I'd never met her before that weekend, though I knew her for several years before through my
buffy board.
After the weekend was over, I volunteered my extra bedroom to her for as long as she needed entirely based on our spending something like 15 hours watching classic Sesame Street on Noggin over the course of that weekend. She turned out to be one of the best roommates I ever had.
