its hard to say. i would have never thought that jesse ventura would have a chance in minnesota. however, a springer candidacy would be a lightning rod for out of state republican money - mainly due to the image of his show. once you get past the show image he seems like a strong candidate - former mayor of cincinatti so experienced and connected in politics, out of politics long enough to be able to run as an outsider, probably close to 100% name recognition, is personally wealthy, has a southern ohio base, and he sounds pretty intelligent and reasonable about things. if he can get past the image of the show, which he probably can't, he could pull the upset.
