Cal. Health & Safety Code § 878. The referenced Penal Code section provides generally that peace officers have the power and authority to beat your ass, or to use their special po-lice "walkie talkies" to call upon such of their colleagues taller than 5'2" who are capable of beating your ass. BTW, make sure none of your bigger neighbors are around when the officer comes callin', because they can be deputized to join in the ass-beating. See Cal. Pen. Code § 830.6(c). Atticus, I'm sure you will cite me something to the contrary, but this is Animal Control, not fish and game. Are they one and the same? Fish and Game guys often need to be armed b/c they encounter poachers and people with guns. Animal Control scrape up dead raccoons and kill pets. I call bullshite.
