A google search of santa clara county's website reveals two separate listings, one for fish and game, and one for animal control, if that is all dispositive, which it isn't. I say, fuck em.
p.s. Spanky, be nice to any fish and game guys you encounter--in addition to being armed, they are the ones that get called out when cougars (mountain lions) terrorize the suburbs. You might even want them on speed dial.
