So why bother being part of the community that is concentrated at the FB? If ya'll want your own private boards, there are literally thousands of places on the internet that you can create them. I'll be happy to show them to you. But these boards are fracturing the community here and are additionally pain in the ass to keep up with.
I couldn't care one way or another about the Insurgency (aside from feeling like I have to constantly defend my position on these boards, but that's my insecurity to deal with). My closing this thread and the insurgency thread has absolutely nothing to do with that.
We decided a long time ago that general discussion boards were not going to be able to be splintered off because it was too hard to follow threads. We allowed for regional boards to let posters create their own threads because it was likely that firm related discussions could develop, and we didn't want to impede those sorts of discussions (see the Jenkens thread on the Texas board for a nice example of that).
This thread has morphed into a general discussion thread and doesn't belong here.
Spanky, I don't EVER read reality TV (sorry Less) posts on the FB, and I don't read tax policy posts (sorry fringe) on the PB. I'm skipping over your royalty discussion on this thread because I have no interest in it. I can, though, glance at the post, realize it is of no value to me and move on. You've been here long enough that you know which posters are likely to say something of interest to you. I think it's time that you join the big people's table.
