Is there any risk of injury if you like stop swimming or swim too slow? Like the equivalent of falling off the treadmill?

I've used one once. No real risk of injury; you just get gently pushed back against the back wall. It's a little weird, though, and I didn't really like it because there are no turns (which break up the strokes for a moment and give those muscles a tiny rest, while exercising different ones).
