The folks on that board are extraordinarily knowledgeable and helpful, and are very willing to give thoughts on prices, etc. They can also advise you as to what issues to look for, things to check, etc. I find it to be far more user friendly than the roadfly board. While still subject to the occasional flame-fest, it is typically more "adult" than the roadfly board.
By the by, I think the dark blue-black color that you're describing is Carbon Black. Or, as it's known in my house, Carbon "impossible to keep clean for more than 15 seconds" Black. It looks spectacular when it's clean, but shows swirl marks like crazy. I feel like I should own stock in Zaino. . .
