It's fucking stupid because it's not true. But (and this is understandeable), you can't say anything negative because then you'd be an asshole. Same goes for her.

The thing is, and here's the thing, we don't fucking care about the positive shit (other than to hear something like, "everything was great" in response to a direct inquiry about how everything was).

So, until it breaks down and you start hating each other, no one (aside from Not Bob) wants to hear you two go back and forth trying to out-schmoopie each other. I'd rather read 10,000 posts between slave and paigow (and I think I have) talking about how they want to bash each other with bricks.
