I learned something new yesterday.
For a very long time, my Private Messages box on the left hand side of the screen said "bold_n_brazen - You have 0 new message(s) since your last visit.
(You have 1 unread messages and 38 total messages in all your folders.)" Except that when I went to my PM list, there weren't any unread PMs in my folders. And I always found it really annoying that there was this mystery PM somewhere out there.
Well, yesterday, I took someone off my ignore list. And my popper-upper popped up, telling me I had a new message, and lo and behold, there was a PM from that person dated like December 4.
So if you've got random unread messages in your folders, it might be because you've got mail from someone you're ignoring.
