It was this icky green color, and looked as though it were made of cheap cotton, and had these cap sleeves made of some kind of organza or tulle or something, AND it didn't fit her well at all. It was all I could do not to pull her aside and say, "Honey -- that dress does nothing, nothing for you. It's a schmata. Don't ever wear it again. Do yourself a favor and throw it away."

I have never even considered giving that sort of officious advice. The dress was that bad.

I wonder what she was thinking of that sweater tied around your neck.
