Matt Leinart would like to dance away from USC with another national championship.
The fifth-year senior will have plenty of time to focus on football in his final season. Leinart is enrolled in one class: Ballroom dancing will fulfill the final elective for his sociology degree, The Los Angeles Times reported.
So, they charge you $16,000 a year for tuition and they offer ballroom dancing as part of the curriculum? Really?

You didn't have a lot of weird ass PE credits on your school's catalogue?
Looking at mine right now, I can take Archery, Badminton, Dancing (sadly, it looks like no ballroom unless "social, beginning" is some sort of code), fencing, flag football, horseback riding, all sorts of martial arts. My best friend in college got his PE credit getting his certification as a high-school basketball ref. My brother failed canoeing (never showed up), but passed skeet shooting with flying colors (only the guy from Jordan gave him any challenge at all, the yankees at his school couldn't hit a barn if they were in it).
(ETA: looking this up, I note with great disappointment that my school has slipped in the Princeton Review rankings, though it's only slipped by one in the US World and News Reports rankings. The students seem to still like it. I also note that my sister's school is still in the top five for reefer madness, but slipped in overall party.)
