I take it the job situation worked itself out? What are your parameters (do you care about schools? what length commute is acceptable? public transportation or driver? etc.)? I'm probably not to be of much help, as I moved out of the DC area many years ago (and, I'll note, I was much poorer then), but I would think it would help those here that have current knowledge to know what your priorities are.
