Funny, it's been running through my head all week. That and "When the Levee Breaks."
It's the Tragically Hip's most popular and enduring work. It's one of the best songs ever written, with a structure that makes it ideal for live performances (they often riff off into other things after the second chorus). But Canadians are a sensitive lot, and I think it will be shelved for awhile.
By the way, it's Gord Downie, not Gordon. I think there may be another Gordon in the band, however.
Gord/Gordon is the most Canadian of names.
